There are several Venezuelan Formula One drivers, but the most notable one is Pastor Maldonado. He was born on March 10, 1985, in Maracay, Venezuela. Maldonado began racing go-karts in his youth and later moved on to Formula Renault, GP2, and eventually Formula One.
In 2011, Maldonado made his Formula One debut with the Williams team. He achieved his first win and only Grand Prix victory at the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix. Maldonado's final season in Formula One was in 2015, where he drove for the Lotus team.
Maldonado is known for his aggressive driving style and has been involved in several on-track incidents throughout his career. Despite this, he is still a fan favorite in his home country of Venezuela and is credited with popularizing the sport of Formula One in the country.
Since leaving Formula One, Maldonado has continued to race in various motorsport series, including the World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series.
